The PixelPete Project is my massive idea for an ArtPrize entry. I will be creating a giant mosaic (10′3″ x 22′5″) of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. using 4,242 Rubik’s Cubes. Level Data Inc. is a start-up tech company out of Kalamazoo Michigan that has created a software package specifically for K-12 schools. The software allows for school administration to manage all aspects of the school like grades, lunch menu, bus routes and attendance from one piece of software. It’s revolutionizing the way schools work. They needed a site built that brought them from the garage to the conference room and the Staff, myself and the site designer Terry Vanden Akker are very pleased with the final product

The Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is a network of hospitals in the Milwaukee area. When they needed an new blog to educate new and expecting mothers they contacted Jigsaw, an advertising and marketing firm. They contacted me to build a WordPress theme based off their designs. A lot of hard work and a little magic went into this challenging project but the final product is one sweet, multi-author blog.

Trevar is a very talented up-and-coming photographer working out of Chicago. I particularly enjoy the context of his photos as well as his production techniques. Trevar needed a minimal design that would compliment and highlight his work. He also needed ultimate usability so I worked the design into a WordPress theme that implements high functionality with no effort. I’m very please with the outcome.

Caitlin is a free spirit indeed. She also happens to be my girlfriend. For our three-year anniversary I built her her own blog and taught her how to use it.

Rebecca is a like-minded print designer who needed a portfolio site build. She did all the design and I had the task of turning her idea into a functioning website. She was a lot of fun to work with and knew just how things should be but remained open to suggestions too. She wanted her gallery to remain minimal but have a high level of functionality. I was aslo able to give her a cool custom scrollbar using a bit of javascript and some of my patented ingenuity.

I came on board with MTG to help sort out their web dilemma. They have a ton of great content from their world renouned books but had a less then desireable web presence. I helped add over 300 pages and created internal ads both static and animated. I can’t say too much about my work there because I am still under contract but there are other things in store that will change the way people travel. Of course MTG has a track record of doing that already so…

I started a disc golf league in early 2008. The idea was to help raise money to maintain a local park. I wanted to make an identity and website so that members could get information at any time. It was also a place to send potential sponsors and offer them advertisement spots online.

We needed a super versatile logo that could go a number of places. It needed to “out shine” the other local disc golf league. They wanted to look more disc golf oriented and put together than our competition.

Mr. Greene is a master craftsman. He makes custom fishing rods for any type of fishing. His largest audience is in fly fishing, specifically because of his bamboo rods. When he’s not making rods he also ties flies and makes hand crafted lures. He recently relocated back to Maine and wanted to beef up his small business with a new identity and website.

Mr. Greene’s new logo is based off of timeless tradition. His rods and lures often become heirlooms and fishing itself is pretty timeless. Using a signature helped to add professionalism and make his business more sincere. In the future he can use it for signage, business cards, and labels for all of his products.

Like most of my clients, Robert needed somthing quick and simple. He let me have full creative control which was smart because we are both very happy with the site. I used a graphic similar to the one used in his logo for the site and then chose some slightly muted colors.

Russell is a close friend of mine and a very talented print designer. He needed my help turning his portfolio site into a WordPress site. He needed to be able to have all of the site’s contents optimized for search engines. It was a lot of fun and he saw an increase in traffic right away.
